Aerosports - Individual


Aerosports Members will comprise of sportspersons at an individual or group level, practicing FAI recognized aerosports. This membership shall include:

Individual Members who are not less than 18 years but not more than 65 years of age who are actively connected with any branch of aeronautics or aviation and who are interested in furthering the aims and objects of the ACI. Individual members shall have one vote to elect their committee within their commission.

The following shall be the ACI Aerosports Memberships:

  1. ACI Aeromodelling Membership
  2. ACI Amateur Built and Experimental Aircraft Membership
  3. ACI Ballooning Membership
  4. ACI Drones Membership
  5. ACI General Aviation Membership
  6. ACI Gliding Membership
  7. ACI Microlights and Para motors Membership
  8. ACI Parachuting Membership
  9. ACI Paragliding & Hang Gliding Membership
  10. ACI Rotorcraft Membership

Aerosports - Organizational


Aerosports Members will comprise of sportspersons at an individual or group level, practicing FAI recognized aerosports. This membership shall include:

Clubs, Associations, Schools, Centres, Societies, trusts, private or public companies, LLP and such other organisations, undertaking the particular aero sport activity. However, organisations will not have any voting rights.

The following shall be the ACI Aerosports Memberships:

  1. ACI Aeromodelling Membership
  2. ACI Amateur Built and Experimental Aircraft Membership
  3. ACI Ballooning Membership
  4. ACI Drones Membership
  5. ACI General Aviation Membership
  6. ACI Gliding Membership
  7. ACI Microlights and Para motors Membership
  8. ACI Parachuting Membership
  9. ACI Paragliding & Hang Gliding Membership
  10. ACI Rotorcraft Membership
The Council may from time to time by a majority vote elect as Honorary Individual Members, men or women who have rendered outstanding service to aeronautics or aviation in India or elsewhere or who in the Council's opinion have exceptional qualifications rendering them suitable for this Membership. Such Honorary Members may attend Council meetings on invitation but shall not be entitled to vote in a council meeting. Honorary Members shall be entitled to style themselves as Members of the ACI but shall not in any way be liable as Members of the ACI whether for subscription, levies or otherwise.
Being individual members, ordinary members or life members who have attained the age of 65 years will be automatically elevated to the status of Member Emeritus. Such Members may attend General meetings but shall not be entitled to vote in a general meeting.
Enthusiast Members are individuals who have a keen interest in aviation/ aerosports but are not actively involved in aviation. Such members are not entitled to attend the general meetings.

Corporate


Companies or organisations interested in nurturing any aerosport(s) and or any aerosports persons in order to encourage them to achieve higher goals may be admitted as corporate members of ACI. Corporate members would be entitled to a pre-determined space and visibility in the events of the aerosport(s) that they adopt. However, a higher bidder for sponsorship of a particular event will have priority of choice and visibility. Such members are not entitled to attend the general meetings.

Temporary


Being the individual Members of a recognised National Aero Club of a foreign country, who may be admitted as Temporary Members of the ACI in pursuance of these Rules but shall pay subscription as per individual member of Aerosports membership.
